Scope of Work
The renovation started with identifying and addressing the critical issues: the basement walls were out of plumb, and the veranda posts had rotted at the base. Using a skilled scarf joint technique, I repaired the posts by replacing the damaged timber sections, ensuring a seamless blend with the existing structure while providing long-term stability.
To enhance the basement’s functionality, I installed a set of new French doors, offering improved access and adding a touch of charm to the space. This required precise framing and integration with the existing basement structure to ensure both security and aesthetic appeal. Once the veranda and basement areas were addressed, we moved on to installing a custom-built aluminium-framed gate and a new fence. Unlike traditional wooden gates, which are prone to swelling and jamming, the aluminium frame provides a sturdy, low-maintenance solution that perfectly complements the property’s upgraded look.
